TULARE, Tulare County — November 4, 2026. Separate City Council contests in the city of Tulare produced early results for Districts 2 and 4. District 4 is a head-to-head election; District 2 has only one named candidate on the ballot. Neither should be described as a finalized mayoral election.
District 4: Celentano ahead
According to a November 4 digest citing the county’s final election-night report, Steve Celentano received 1,412 votes and Freddie Gonzalez had 935 in District 4. This leaves a 477-vote gap in the overnight report, subject to the official canvass.
District 2: Limas without a named ballot opponent
In District 2, Jocelyn Limas received 1,146 votes as the sole named candidate; the report also noted nine write-ins. That does not imply 100% of registered voters supported Limas, or that all ballots have been processed. Write-in votes and subsequent ballots are part of official election procedures.
What happens to these results
After Election Day, the county validates remaining eligible ballots and performs other canvass procedures. The city council governs local development, public works, budgets and services, but the certified election result, not the overnight ranking, determines the official outcome.
