TULARE, Tulare County — November 4, 2026. Tulare’s proposed city sales-tax Measure A has a narrow No majority in the first unofficial completed election-night report.
Current unofficial count
The count lists 4,468 No votes and 4,349 Yes votes. That is a 119-vote No lead, with Yes holding about 49.3% of counted ballots.
What the result means
The city proposed a one-percentage-point sales-tax increase for general city services. The measure requires a simple majority, not 55% or two-thirds. The reported No majority is provisional until additional ballots and the official canvass are complete.
When new numbers are expected
The numbers above describe Tulare County’s November 4 early-morning election-night results, corroborated by local reporting and ABC30 election tables published November 4. They are not November 5 canvass updates. The county says its first post-election results update is scheduled for November 5 by 6 p.m. Pacific. Further valid mail, provisional and conditional registration ballots may alter rankings before certification.
